The meeting, presided over by Phuket Vice Governor Adul Chuthong, was held at the PPAO offices on Narisorn Rd that previously served as the Provincial Hall for more than 100 years

The session began with a formal opening, followed by formal recognition of the Election Commission announcement on Feb 25 confirming Mr Rewat as PPAO President, and the election of the new PPAO Council members in the elections held on Feb 1.

During the session, Pairoj Ruamphanphong, the oldest council member, who was temporarily serving as council president, stepped down for the newly elected president to be installed.

At the meeting Opas Chobdee was elected PPAO Council Chairman, with Nopphaphan Sipsak as First Deputy Chairman, Supachai Kitdamnoen as Second Deputy Chairman and Wachiravit Phuengrang as Council Secretary.

On behalf of the Phuket Governor, Vice Governor Adul officially signed the appointment of Mr Opas as Council Chairman.

The council also scheduled its first meeting for the fiscal year 2025 and discussed the formation of key committees, including the ordinary committee and the meeting report inspection committee.

“The newly elected PPAO Council will play a crucial role in shaping Phuket’s policies and development in the coming year,” Vice Governor Adul said.
