Emergency responders from Kusoldharm Rescue Foundation (’Loma Khok Kloy’) and a medical team from Takua Thung Hospital were called to the scene in Baan Thong Lang, Moo 4, Lo Yung Subdistrict, at 11:57am.
The report was filed by Chaisak Phetsuk, who alerted officials to the incident involving a man trapped in the machinery at the 10-rai shrimp farm.
Upon arrival, rescue workers found Mr Sai Phone, a 36-year-old Myanmar national, with a severe laceration to his right leg. He was conscious but his leg remained lodged in the shaft of the aerator – a device used to oxygenate water in the pond.
Rescue personnel performed a surgical cut on the metal shaft to free the man, while paramedics administered saline and stabilised his condition.
Once freed, Mr Sai Phone was rushed to Takua Thung Hospital for emergency treatment. His current condition has not been disclosed.
Authorities have yet to confirm whether workplace safety measures were in place at the time of the incident.
