Cherng Talay Police were notified of the discovery at about 4:55pm and responded with forensic officers and doctors from Vachira Phuket Hospital.
The deceased was identified as Ms Kanyarat Wiriyang, 26, from Loei Province in northeast Thailand.
Police said Ms Kanyarat’s body was found lying on the floor at the foot of her bed in her room. There were no signs of injury, no evidence of a struggle and no indication that her belongings had been disturbed.
Doctors at the scene estimated she had been dead for about 12 hours. Her body was later transferred to Vachira Phuket Hospital for medical examination to determine the cause of death.
The case has been recorded as Autopsy Case No. 12/2025 and remains under investigation.
Cherng Talay Police Chief Col Ekkarat Phlaiduang confirmed that officers are awaiting the results of the medical examination before determining further action.
