The arrest was made at around 1am by a team led by Thalang District Chief and Office of the Narcotics Control Board (ONCB) officer Chaiporn Yangchin, together with members of the 3rd Thalang District Volunteer Defense Corps (OrSor).
The team apprehended the suspect, identified only as ‘Ms A’, at her residence in Moo 4, Thepkrasattri. Seized as evidence were 30 ya bah pills, 1.65 grammes of crystal meth and one mobile phone.
Ms A was charged with possession of Category 1 narcotics with intent to sell, attempted distribution without a licence, illegal use of methamphetamine, and driving while under the influence of narcotics. She was taken to Thalang Police Station for further legal proceedings.
District Chief Chaiporn said the arrest formed part of the ongoing ‘Phuket 120 Days Nonstop’ campaign, which is being implemented across the province under the Ministry of Interior’s policy to maintain social order and public safety.
The operation aims to suppress drugs, gambling, vice activities, human trafficking, and other criminal behaviour, as well as to curb the influence of powerful figures involved in illegal activities.
“Thalang District will continue strict and consistent enforcement to protect communities and ensure peace and order in the area,” Mr Chaiporn said.
