The simulation, held at 4pm, was led by Superintendent Pol Col Somsak Thongkliang and focused on subduing aggressive individuals using non-lethal methods, including rubber bullets, explained an official report of the session.
Senior officers from the investigation, prevention and crime suppression divisions coordinated the drill.
The exercise included checks on personnel readiness, equipment inspections and step-by-step rehearsals of high-risk intervention procedures, all based on official police protocols.
Pol Col Somsak said the training was part of an order from police command to ensure officers are fully prepared to respond to dangerous situations.
“Officers must be ready to act decisively and safely when facing violent offenders,” he said. “These rehearsals sharpen tactical skills and reinforce our ability to protect the public effectively.”
