There will be two street processions starting from the Sam Ong Hoo Shrine (Cherng Talay Shrine), both starting at 6pm this evening (Oct 5).
The Sam Ong Hoo Shrine is located at Soi Cherng Talay 14, some 125 metres west of the Cherng Talay Intersection.
The first street procession will be from the Sam Ong Hoo Shrine to Cherng Talay Intersection (next to Chaerng Talay Police Station), and continue to the four-way intersection at the entrance to Boat Avenue, then continue north along Route 4030 (the Baan Don - Cherng Talay Rd) to the border of Cherng Talay and Baan Don, near Soi Pasak 13.
The devotees will then turn around and make the return journey to the shrine
The second procession, also starting at 6pm, will start at the Sam Ong Hoo Shrine and continue along Srisoonthorn Rd (Route 4025) to the border of Cherng Talay and Bang Jo, near the HeadStart International School, Phuket Cherngtalay Campus.
The devotees will then turn around and also make the return journey to the shrine
On Sunday (Oct 6), yet another street procession will start at the Sam Ong Hoo Shrine and continue west along Route 4030 to the Chinese shrine at Baan Bang Tao, near Laem Singh
On Monday (Oct 7), another street procession, this one starting at 7:15am from the Te Kun Ban Pa Sak Shrine Soi Pasak 7/1, will parade along Route 4030 (the Baan Don - Cherng Talay Rd), from the border of Cherng Talay and Baan Don to just south of Soi Pasak 1.
On Tuesday (Oct 8) will be the longest of the street processions emanating from Cherng Talay.
Starting at 7am, devotees will make their way from the Sam Ong Hoo Shrine to the Cherng Talay Intersection, then continue north along Route 4030 (the Baan Don - Cherng Talay Rd) all the way to the Thalang Intersection.
From there the procession will continue south along Thepkrasattri Rd and turn right at the Khao Lan Intersection onto Route 4015, and continue all the way to Srisoonthorn Rd.
From there the procession will continue west along Srisoonthorn Rd, all the way back to the the Sam Ong Hoo Shrine, near the Cherng Talay Intersection.
