Wichit Police said they were alerted to the crash at about 2:10pm. The incident occurred in the southbound lane of the Darasamut Underpass, heading towards Chalong.
Officers arrived at the scene to find three vehicles damaged in the collision. A woman and a man suffered injuries described as sprains and were taken by rescue workers to Vachira Phuket Hospital.
Traffic Police were deployed to manage the flow of vehicles as recovery teams worked to clear the scene. The Fortuner and the six-wheel truck were removed first, leaving only the trailer truck, which required a replacement tractor unit before it could be moved.
Investigating officer Lt Col Kraisorn Phakaree coordinated the response.
Wichit Police confirmed that the Darasamut Underpass was fully reopened to normal traffic at 3:59pm.
