The accident occurred around 2pm, just before the Bank of Ayudhya branch in Ratsada. One lane of northbound traffic was blocked, causing a significant buildup of vehicles.
A concerned citizen called the police, and within minutes four officers from the Phuket City Police arrived on the scene.
They quickly photographed the damaged vehicles and moved them to the roadside to restore the flow of traffic. They also coordinated with investigation officers to inspect the scene.
Debris from the collision, including broken car parts and widespread oil stains, littered the road.
The officers divided the tasks: one borrowed a broom and dustpan from nearby residents to sweep up the debris, while two others borrowed a hoe to scoop sand from the roadside and cover the oil, preventing further accidents.
The fourth officer managed traffic to ensure vehicles could pass safely.
Road users and passersby commended the officers for their swift, hands-on approach, praising them for their dedication and professionalism.
Many said the response left a positive impression of the Phuket City Police Station’s commitment to public safety.
