Firefighters from Rawai Municipality were informed of the woman’s plight at 6:54pm.
The woman, whose name and nationality were not disclosed, had slipped on rocks at the popular viewpoint area, reported the Rawai Rescue Unit.
The rescue team arrived soon after and provided medical care on site. The woman had broken her ankle in the fall, rescue workers confirmed.
No other injuries were reported.
The rescue team then carried the woman to safety on a stretcher.
The area is well known for tourists arriving to enjoy the sunset.
Last year, tourists needed to be rescued from the rocks at the viewpoint after a wildfire had cut off their path to safety back towards Nai Harn Beach.
