The arrests were made at a residence in Moo 1, Thepkrasattri, on Saturday (July 5) in an operation led by Pol Lt Col Suchart Luecha, Inspector of Investigation at Thalang Police, in cooperation with the Narcotics Suppression Bureau and a co-ordinated investigation team, explained a report of the raid by police.
The three suspects taken into custody were identified as Prakasit ‘Games’ Phromma, 28, and Phathon Sengiamsaksri, 18, both of Thepkrasattri, Thalang; and Thaksin Chuachan, 15, of Mae Phrik District, Lampang Province.
All three face charges of jointly possessing Category 1 narcotics ‒ methamphetamine pills and crystal methamphetamine ‒ with intent to sell, an offense that authorities say contributes to the spread of drugs in the community and poses a threat to public safety.
Prakasit is also facing an additional charge of illegal possession of ammunition.
Evidence seized during the operation included 3,423 ya bah pills; 383 grammes of ya ice; five rounds of .38-calibre ammunition; a white Honda LAD125 motorbike; and a black Redmi mobile phone.
Police said they were continuing to investigate the network involved in the case.
