The arrests were led by Pol Lt Col Suchart Luecha, Superintendent of Investigation at Thalang Police Station, together with officers from the Narcotics Suppression Bureau.
The first suspect, a 34-year-old identified only as ‘Off’, was taken into custody in front of a restaurant on Srisoonthorn Rd in Moo 5, Srisoonthorn, Thalang. He was charged with possession of a Category 1 narcotic (methamphetamine) without permission.
Investigators then extended the operation, leading to the arrest of the second suspect, named as ‘Kheow’, 36. Officers seized 1,177 meth pills, 85.4g of crystal meth, three packages of narcotics, and a red-and-black Honda Wave motorbike valued at about B70,000.
The items were recovered at two locations: in front of a rice and curry restaurant in Moo 1, Pa Khlok, near the Heroines Monument, and inside a room in Moo 8, Pa Khlok.
Police said Kheow has been charged with possession of Category 1 narcotics ‒ methamphetamine and crystal meth ‒ in possession for sale without permission, an offence considered to be for commercial purposes and contributing to public harm.
Both suspects were taken to Thalang Police Station for further legal processing.
