The Crime Suppression Division (CSD), which operates under the CIB, launched an investigation in collaboration with local authorities after the attack at a district festival, reports the CIB

The gang leader, named in the CIB report only as ‘Mr Suphatchai’, and his gang targeted a rival gang, waiting outside the event before assaulting their enemies.

Following the attack, the gang rode to a Vegetarian Festival event in Phang Nga, where they once again encountered their rivals, the report explained.

The gang ambushed the victim, throwing large rocks at his head while he was riding a motorcycle.

The attack resulted in a skull fracture, and the victim’s family filed another complaint, leading to an intensified investigation.

Police, by Pol Lt Col Phongsak Meemusik and officers from the Crime Suppression Division 5 branch, tracked down Suphatchai, who had fled to Lang Suan District in Chumphon province.

He was arrested at a durian stall in Moo 4, Tambon Wang Takao, and later transferred to Kuraburi Police Station in Phang Nga to face legal charges, teh CIB confirmed.
