This latest edition, a continuation of the culinary exploration of Thailand’s rich food scene, features 447 establishments blending traditional Thai flavors with modern culinary techniques, reports the National News Bureau of Thailand.
This year’s Michelin Guide Thailand includes new regions such as Ko Samui and Mainland Surat Thani. Among the additions are two new two-star restaurants, Baan Tepa and Gaa, and six new one-star restaurants, such as INDDEE, NAWA, Samrub Samrub Thai, Mia, Resonance, and Wana Yook. The Guide also awarded a new MICHELIN Green Star to J’AIME by Jean-Michel Lorain for its sustainable gastronomic practices.
Individual culinary talents were also recognized in this edition. Awards went to Chudaree ‘Tam’ Debhakam from Baan Tepa (Michelin Young Chef Award), Witchupol “Nay” Charoensupaya from NAWA (Michelin Opening of the Year Award), Louise Bourgeois from Chef’s Table (Michelin Service Award), and Thanakorn ‘Jay’ Bottorff from INDDEE (Michelin Sommelier Award).
Since 2018, TAT’s partnership with the MICHELIN Guide has been instrumental in bringing Thailand’s culinary offerings to a global audience. The guide now covers a wide range of areas, including Bangkok, Phuket, Phang Nga, Chiang Mai, Ayutthaya, and various Isan provinces.
