To launch the initiative, TAT’s Southern Region hosted a ‘Wonder Andaman Night’ reception at REEVE Beach Club in Krabi on Friday (Nov 8), drawing provincial officials, tourism industry leaders, and media representatives.

In addition to Krabi Governor Suwit Suriyawong, the event was attended by key figures, including Aphichai Chatchalermkij, TAT’s Deputy Governor for Domestic Marketing; and Ms. Watchanan Silpawornwiwat, Director of TAT’s Southern Region office.

The directors from the TAT offices in six key Andaman provinces ‒ Ranong, Phang Nga, Phuket, Krabi, Trang and Satun ‒ joined local tourism industry leaders along with ‘influencers’ and media to hear the campaign’s goals for high-season tourism.

Mr Apichai highlighted TAT’s strategic push to showcase the Andaman region’s ‘Sea, Sand, Sun’. Prominent beaches such as Koh Kradan, Railay Beach and Maya Bay have received top global rankings from prestigious travel organisations, including the World Beach Guide and Lonely Planet, solidifying the Andaman coast as a must-visit paradise, he said.

The ‘Andaman Coast tourism season’ began on Nov 1, Mr Apichai noted. “The marine national parks have opened and are ready to welcome tourists,” he added.

The TAT conducted numerous ‘media fam trip’ initiatives from last Thursday through Saturday (Nov 7-9) to promote the local natural attractions to raise awareness and generate tourism buzz.

The ‘fam trip’ tour included the media entourage experiencing iconic attractions across Phuket, Phang Nga, Krabi and Trang provinces, with highlights such as the historic Phuket Old Town, Banana Beach, Koh Hey, Samet Nang Chee viewpoint and Morakot Cave.

Additionally, the trip included wellness destinations such as Wat Bang Thong and Amataya Wellness in Krabi.
