This festive event, themed ‘Sea on The Life, Sea on The Light,’ aims to boost tourism, energize the local economy, and provide a platform for community businesses.

The carnival starts tomorrow (Dec 29) and continues through to the New Year countdown.

Present for the announcement of the carnival earlier this week were Phuket Vice Governor Samawit Suphanphai; Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) Phuket office Director Lertchai Wangtrakuldee and Cherng Talay OrBorTor Chief Manoch Phanchalad.

Mr Manoch emphasised the event’s importance in attracting tourists during the holiday season, creating economic opportunities, and showcasing local talent and businesses. Over 150 vendors will offer a diverse selection of products, food and services at the carnival, ensuring a dynamic marketplace for visitors, he said.

The three-day carnival promises a vibrant lineup of activities and performances, including live music concerts featuring:
- Dec 29: Maew Jirasak, Katreeya English, and Eed Fly Band
- Dec 30: Hin Lek Fai
- Dec 31: Mai Charoenpura

There will also be high-energy sets from DJs and performers and a specially designed landmark with state-of-the-art sound and lighting for ‘photo opportunities’, Mr Manoch said.

A spectacular show to ring in the New Year will be held on New Year’s Eve at Surin Beach Stadium, starting at 5pm, he added.

“The Beach Carnival aims to draw crowds from near and far, offering a perfect blend of relaxation, entertainment, and local culture to celebrate the transition into 2025,” Mr Manoch concluded.
