Ramadan this year is to be observed from sunset this coming Sunday (Mar 10) through to April 9.
Mayor Chalermpol visited several Muslim communities yesterday, bringing donations of dates, rice, sugar, tea, coffee, cooking oil, fruit juice and drinking water, among other items.
Joining Mr Chalermpol was Srisoonthorn Municipality Chief Administrative Officer (Palad) Watcharin Chethanon along with members from the municipal council and the council’s executive team.
Mayor Chalermpol explained that the offerings came as support for religious activities and local Islamic traditions and culture to continue.
