Security teams comprising district officials, village headmen, assistants and Village Defence Volunteers (OrSor) conducted the checks from 5:30pm to 9:30pm.
The teams inspected migrant labour camps and set up checkpoints in Moo 8, Pa Khlok, as part of ongoing efforts to enforce the Ministry of Interior’s policy to crack down on influential figures, gambling, vice, narcotics, human trafficking and all forms of criminal activity, said a report by the Thalang District Office.
According to the report, searches of workers, vehicles and residences at the labour camps uncovered no illegal items. However, random urine tests conducted during the operation identified three individuals who tested positive for drug use. Officials said all three agreed to be sent immediately for rehabilitation procedures.
District Chief Siwat Rawangkun said the operation reflects the province’s commitment to maintaining social order through sustained enforcement and community-level cooperation.
Officers will continue conducting unannounced inspections and checkpoints under the 120-day campaign to strengthen safety, deter crime and uphold peace and order across the district, he added.
