Phuket City Police were called to the scene, on Luang Pho Rd, at about 9:20pm.

Upon arrival, emergency responders from the Kusoldharm Phuket Foundation and an ambulance from Vachira Phuket Hospital found the man, identified only as ‘M. Maksim’, lying unconscious and naked on the ground in front of the dormitory.

He was provided with first aid at the scene before being rushed to hospital.

Witnesses told police that Mr Maksim had been behaving erratically before the fall. He reportedly climbed to the third floor of the dormitory where he smashed the window of a room occupied by a woman identified only as ‘Ms Na’. Shocked by the intrusion, she fled the room.

It was reported that Mr Maksim then removed his clothes, left them outside the room, ran to the balcony and jumped over the railing, falling to the ground below, police said.

Police later searched his residence at Tee Pak Dee Resident Phuket but found no illegal substances or suspicious items. His passport was recovered and confirmed he is legally in Thailand, with permission to stay until Aug 25, 2025.

Police said they had documented the incident and have contacted the Russian embassy to provide assistance and inform his family.

An investigation into the circumstances of the incident is ongoing, police noted.
