Confirmation came as Phuket Governor Sophon Suwannarat and his wife, Mrs Busadee, President of the Phuket chapter of the Red Cross Society of Thailand, presided over the prize-giving ceremony for the 2025 Phuket Red Cross Lottery at Phuket Provincial Hall today (Jan 29).

The event was attended by government officials, Red Cross Society members and lucky winners.

This year’s top prize, a Toyota Fortuner Legender, sold in Thailand with a starting price of about B1.62 million, was awarded to Songpop Dulpinijpattana from Moo 3, Ratsada.

The second prize, a Honda City SV, valued at about B679,000, went to Supee Srirattanapraphan also from Moo 3, Ratsada.

The shared third prize, two Honda PCX motorbikes, each valued at about B93,000, were won by Patcharaporn Champathong from Phuket Town and by Petty Officer 1st Class Phongsawat Pankong from Nakhon Sri Thammarat.

The annual Red Cross lottery aims to raise funds for the Phuket Red Cross Society’s public welfare initiatives, including aid for disaster victims, underprivileged individuals and those in need.

This year’s lottery received strong public support, contributing to ongoing social welfare efforts, said an official report of today’s event.

The report did not mention how much money was raised by the lucky draw.

The Phuket Red Cross Society expressed gratitude to all participants for their contributions, emphasising that the lottery plays a vital role in improving the quality of life for those facing hardships, the official report concluded.
