PLTO Chief Adcha Buachan announced that, as usual, the auction will feature 301 prestigious number plates for various vehicles, including sedans, passenger cars, trucks and vans with a capacity of up to seven people.
The auction, dubbed the "Millionaire’s Treasure" and "Lucky Numbers" licence-plate auction, is a unique opportunity for individuals to acquire these lucky and auspicious number plates, he said.
Registration for the auction is now open, and interested participants can register via the internet at www.tabienrod.com.
The auction will conclude with a live event on Saturday, July 6, at the Grand Ballroom Meeting Room 1 of the Royal Phuket City Hotel, starting at 9am.
The auction of “lucky” licence is plates is a regular event conducted by provincial offices of the Land Transport Department throughout the country.
The auctions are announced as held in order to raise funds for road-safety projects. To thta end, the PLTO earlier this month submitted a formal request for B1 million to carry out road-safety projects in Phuket.
