The power outage, from 9am to 4:30pm, is to allow workers to safely carry out improvements to the high-voltage distribution system, PEA Phuket announced.
The areas to be affected by the power outage were listed as the Saiyuan Road area, from the entrance of Soi Saiyuan to the Susco gas station to Soi Saosod.
The area marked on the map provided by PEA Phuket showing the affected area includes the western side of Wiset Rd from Soi Saiyuan to the Mangosteen Ayurveda & Wellness Resort. All the Saiyuan area west of there is also marked to be affected.
PEA Phuket apologised for inconvenience caused by the power outage.

Meanwhile, residents and businesses in Phuket Villa 3 in Kathu are without power due to another scheduled power outage, from 9am to 4:30pm today.
The scheduled power outage was announced by PEA Phuket through an announcement posted online at 10:14pm last night (Mar 5).
