Meeting with Suchata at Government House on Tuesday morning (June 17), the Prime Minister lauded her achievement as a milestone that not only brings pride to Thailand but also highlights the strength and global potential of Thai women.
The 2025 Miss World winner was joined by Julia Evelyn Morley, President of the Miss World Organisation, and Piyaporn Saengkosik, President of TPN Global, during her courtesy call ahead of the weekly Cabinet meeting yesterday.
Government spokesperson Jirayu Huangrat said the Prime Minister expressed confidence that Suchata would help promote Thai culture and strengthen Thailand’s image abroad through the growing influence of Thai soft power.
The Prime Minister also commended the organisers ‒ Tero Entertainment, TPN Global and the Miss World Organisation ‒ for their role in empowering women and providing an international platform for showcasing their capabilities.
“The government is committed to pushing for gender equality and advancing women’s roles in all sectors,” she said, adding that Nong Opal’s success should serve as an inspiration to young Thai women everywhere.
Nong Opal thanked the Prime Minister for the warm welcome and expressed her readiness to work with the government on women’s empowerment and health initiatives, including raising awareness about breast cancer prevention ‒ an extension of her own advocacy project during the competition.
Julia Morley, meanwhile, said she was touched by the reception from both the Thai public and the government and looked forward to future collaborations in Thailand.
