No one was hurt, but higher speeds could have put motorcycles and cars in the oncoming lane at risk.
Cherng Talay Police released CCTV video footage of the incident on Monday (Jan 27). The footage shows the pickup truck trying to cut in front of the 18-wheeler ‒ to no avail.
The collision occurred at low speed, but after the collision the truck continued to drag the pickup along the road towards motorcyclists waiting for the green light.
The pickup came to a stop after just touching head-on a black car waiting at the traffic lights.
Cherng Talay Police did not identify the companies that own and operate the two vehicles, and obscured the logos and licence plates in the video. Police have not mentioned any charges against either driver.
