The NNT report, issued at 4:30pm yesterday (July 24), stated that V/Gov Prakob Wongmaneerung said the tourism situation in Phuket has recovered to normal, following a boat accident earlier this month, with the number of tourists increased by seven percent as of Monday (July 23), compared to last year. “The southern province has called upon all tour operators to implement maximum safety measures, and is in the process of installing more CCTV cameras to ensure the tourists' safety,” the report quotes V/Gov Prakob as saying.

He added that the police is now working on the case to prosecute nominee firms involved with illegal tour operators.
