Both Thai and foreign donors are welcome to "share life" this Wednesday (Feb 14) at Limelight Phuket, a regular venue for Vachira Phuket Hospital’s special blood donation drives.
No details have been announced so far except for the timing – from 10am to 6pm. Yet donors can expect to receive T-shirts as a token of gratitude from Phuket medics, as well as a chance to meet Busadee Suwannarat, the Phuket Governor’s wife and the President of Phuket Red Cross.
To make the experience even more memorable, donors will be able to enjoy the ’Colour of Love’ exhibition, running at Limelight Phuket until Feb 25.

On Feb 1, Vachira Phuket Hospital in Phuket Town issued a “Most Urgent” notice, saying that the blood bank was out of stock of Type O.
The Red Cross added that Type O is routinely in short supply and in high demand by hospitals – both because it is the most common blood type and because type O negative blood is the universal blood type needed for emergency transfusions.
People with Type O blood were urged to visit the Blood Bank at Vachira Phuket Hospital to make a donation.
