The annual ‘Open House’ event, this year themed ‘Educational Philosophy for International Development’, was held at the Teacher Sunpin Learning Room on Thursday (Feb 20) and presided over by Phuket Vice Governor Ronnarong Thipsiri.

Also in attendance were Sombat Atisart, Chairman of the School’s Executive Board and Chairman of the Phuket Kusonsongkhro Foundation (also known as ‘Lok Chian Kok’), joined by Komes Klansomjit, Deputy Secretary-General of the Private Education Commission, and Sunan Malichu, School Director, along with parents and esteemed guests.

The Open House featured exhibitions of academic projects by teachers and students, as well as artistic and cultural performances that showcased students’ talents. The event highlighted the school’s commitment to providing high-quality education in alignment with international standards.

During the ceremony, Vice Governor Ronnarong praised the school for its dedication to a trilingual curriculum ‒ Thai, Chinese and English ‒ while emphasising five core educational philosophies: ethics, wisdom, good character, spirit and aesthetics. He noted that these principles contribute to the holistic development of students.

School Director Sunan Malichu reaffirmed the institution’s commitment to world-class education, noting that the school has achieved International Baccalaureate (IB) certification at the Primary Years Programme (PYP) and Middle Years Programme (MYP) levels. The event provided a platform for the public to witness firsthand the quality of education offered.

Deputy Secretary-General of the Private Education Commission Mr Komes commended the school’s effective management, high teaching standards, and well-qualified faculty. He also praised the school leadership for their commitment to advancing education to international benchmarks.

Meanwhile, Mr Sombat outlined a five-year education development plan (2023-2027) aimed at raising academic standards and expanding opportunities for students to pursue higher education at leading global universities.

The school has also established a dedicated office to support students in securing placements at both domestic and international institutions, particularly in China and Thailand, Mr Sombat noted.
