As of 9:30am yesterday (Sept 4), the National Blood Service in Phuket reported a daily demand of 390 units, including 200 units of type O, 100 of type A, 20 of type B and 70 of type AB.
The PRBC is urging residents and visitors to donate, noting that blood has a limited shelf life and must be carefully managed to meet the needs of hospitals across the province.
Donations are accepted at the Phuket Red Cross Blood Center on Rattanakosin 200 Pi Road in Talad Nuea, Phuket Town, with the following hours:
* Monday to Friday: 8:30am – 4:30pm
* Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday: 8:30am – 7:30pm
* Saturday, Sunday and public holidays: 9:00am – 3:30pm
