A meeting to coordinate the preparations was held at Phuket Provincial Hall yesterday (Nov 29), chaired by Phuket Vice Governor Ronnarong Thipsiri.
Key agenda items focused on ensuring a smooth and honourable reception for Their Majesties. Plans include mobilising the members of the ‘904 Royal Volunteers’ initiative to assist government agencies in welcoming and managing crowds, as well as organising public activities to beautify the area along the royal procession route.
Efforts will also include the establishment of a mobile ‘Damrongtham Center’ (Ombudsman’s Office), aimed at addressing grievances and resolving issues within communities near the Beyond Kata Hotel. The initiative seeks to enhance the well-being of residents while ensuring a seamless royal visit experience, said an official report of the meeting.
Further updates and detailed action plans will be finalised in subsequent meetings. Authorities have called on all involved parties to fulfill their responsibilities diligently to ensure that the occasion proceeds with the utmost respect and honour for Their Majesties, the report concluded.
