The women were honoured by the National Council on Social Welfare of Thailand under Royal Patronage for their unwavering dedication to family, community and society.

This year’s honorees include: Suksawadi Chanchu, named Outstanding National Mother of 2025, a prestigious title awarded to mothers who exemplify strength, sacrifice and love.

Sudjai Nuipakdee, honoured as Outstanding National Mother of the Region in the category of ‘Mothers who are diligent and persevering, recognised for her resilience and hard work in raising her family’.

Wirintra Phaphakitchayasapat, an executive at Nikorn Marine Group and President of the Sustainable Andaman Association, selected as an Outstanding Mother of the Nation 2025 in the category of ‘Mothers who contribute to society’. Representing Phuket, she was recognised for her leadership and service in promoting sustainable development and community initiatives.

The Phuket Provincial Office in multiple posts online extended congratulations to all three recipients, praising their contributions as role models for Thai families and communities.

Thailand’s National Mother’s Day was first organised in 1976, aligning with the birthday of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit the Queen Mother on Aug 12, who is revered as the ‘Mother of the Nation’.

This year marks the 50th anniversary of the celebration, which continues to honour the vital role of mothers in society.

A central part of the annual celebration is the selection of Outstanding National Mothers from across the country. The awards are given not only to recognise individual achievement but also to inspire the public with positive examples of maternal love, resilience, and civic responsibility.
