The festival, organised by the Phuket Provincial Administrative Organization (PPAO) in collaboration with the Mai Khao Tambon Administrative Organisation (OrBorTor) and partners from both the public and private sectors, will take place from Aug 29–31 at Phuket Gateway in Mai Khao, Thalang District.
Announcing the event at a press conference on Saturday (Aug 16), PPAO President Rewat Areerob said the festival aims not only to entertain but also to spread economic benefits to communities outside Phuket Town.
“Mai Khao is already a popular tourist destination, but being far from the city centre, we want to create new activities to draw more visitors, increase spending and distribute income more evenly,” Mr Rewat explained. “This event will provide both an entertainment platform and a creative space for locals.”
The festival will feature two main concert stages showcasing some of Thailand’s leading artists, including Singto Numchok, Maiyarap, Wasan 17, MEAN, and Khian Khai & Wanich.
Beyond the music, visitors can enjoy a creative market with food from renowned restaurants such as Blue Elephant Phuket, alongside food trucks, craft fairs, handmade products, and a showcase of local goods.
Other highlights include a cover dance competition, inspirational activities, and a nightly fireworks display.
Entry to the event is free for both residents and tourists. Organisers say they expect the festival to draw significant visitor numbers, helping to support tourism during Phuket’s off-season while advancing the island’s goal of becoming a recognised “Creative City” that integrates culture, economy and quality of life.
