Thanyawat Chanpinit, 55, and Supoj Rotreuang Na Nongkhai, 54, both presented themselves ready for work at Phuket Provincial Hall yesterday (Oct 8).

The two arrived in Phuket on Sunday (Oct 7), with Vice Governor Supoj taking the time to pay his respects to the Phuket Heroines on Sunday evening.

Vice Governor Supoj previously served with the Ministry of Interior’s Inspector-General’s office in Bangkok, while Vice Governor Thanyawat arrives after previously serving as a Chief Inspector at the Land Department in Bangkok.

Vice Governors Supoj and Thanyawat replace outgoing Phuket Vice Governors Snith Sriwihok and Thawornwat Kongkaew.

Vice Governor Snith has taken up the post of Vice Governor in Chumphon, and Vice Governor Thawornwat is now a Vice Governor in Nakhon Sri Thammarat.

The arrival of the two new Vice Governors follows Pakkapong Tawipat arriving on the island last Monday (Oct 1) to take up the post of Governor of Phuket.

Governor Pakkapong previously served as Governor of Phitsanulok.

Governor Pakkapong replaced Norraphat Plodthong, who retired on Sept 30.
