Authorities were alerted to the incident at about 6pm, prompting an immediate response from local police and fire services.

Pol Lt Col Charas Lempan of the Karon Police received the report and informed Karon Police Chief Pol Col Khundet Na Nongkhai and Pol Lt Col. Wivat Chamnankit, Deputy Superintendent of Investigation. The officers quickly proceeded to the scene.

The fire originated in a storage room used by housekeeping staff on the fourth floor of the 79-room hotel. Quick action by hotel staff, who used fire extinguishers, prevented the flames from spreading further.

Firefighters from Karon Municipality and Patong Municipality arrived with six fire engines to ensure the blaze was fully contained. While the fire was successfully extinguished, an inspection revealed that 21 rooms on the second floor had been affected by smoke and heat.

All hotel guests were safely evacuated, and no injuries or fatalities were reported. Authorities are continuing their investigation to determine the exact cause of the fire.
