The operation began at 7pm, when teams of district security officers, Volunteer Defense Corps personnel (OrSor) and officials from Srisoonthorn and Thepkrasattri subdistrict administrations set up checkpoints at Moo 4 in Srisoonthorn and Moo 8 in Thepkrasattri.
According to district officials, the checks led to the discovery of two meth pills found during searches of individuals and vehicles. Officers also carried out random urine tests, with 11 people testing positive for drug use. All 11 reportedly agreed to enter treatment.
Thalang District Office noted that the operation forms part of the government’s continuing campaign to strengthen social order, suppress illicit activities and maintain safety and stability in local communities.
