More than 3,000 people joined the event, including Jiraphon Sinthuprai, Minister attached to the Prime Minister’s Office; Phuket Governor Sophon Suwannarat; and Suruthai Lertkasem, Director-General of the Public Relations Department.
The parade featured a dazzling procession including the Ali Rananda, who was crowned Miss Queen Andaman Power 2024, the 9th Andaman Rainbow Pearl pageant held at the Jungceylon mall in Patong last Thursday (June 8).
Starting from the road in front of Duangjitt Resort Hotel, the parade made its way along iconic Soi Bangla and culminated at Jungceylon shopping mall
The streets were alive with colorful costumes, feathers, flower parades, and performance teams, all celebrating LGBTQI+ equality.
“The event not only celebrated diversity and inclusion but also underscored the ongoing push for gender equality and the advancement of equal marriage laws in Thailand. This year’s parade stands as a powerful statement to the world, advocating for the rights and acceptance of LGBTQI+ individuals everywhere,” organisers said.
Phuket will continue its Pride Month celebrations, culminating with the grand parade through the streets of Phuket Old Town on June 29.
