Thalang Police confirmed they were notified of the incident, at a house in Moo 5, Srisioonthon, at 10:54pm by neighbour Matchlin Namkhao, who discovered the man after returning home from work.
Ms Matchlin told police she and her wife saw a shadow inside the house and rushed in to investigate, where they found the man attempting to hang himself from a window frame. They immediately brought him down and attempted CPR while calling emergency services.
Rescue workers arrived shortly afterwards and transported the man to Thalang Hospital, where medical teams continued resuscitation efforts.
Police were told by the man’s wife that he had been under significant personal stress and frequently drank alcohol.
Despite attempts to save his life, Thalang Hospital reported at 12:23am that the man had died.
Thalang Police are preparing a full report for Phuket Provincial Police.
