The operation, which began at 10pm, was led by Kathu District Security Division Permanent Secretary Anurak Poolsak, supported by members of the Kathu District Volunteer Defense Corps.
Officers apprehended one suspect in front of a tattoo shop inside the Bangla Night Plaza market.
A total of 28 tablets of Category 1 narcotics (methamphetamine) were seized as evidence.
Officers did not name the suspect arrested.
Officials confirmed the suspect was charged with possession of a Category 1 narcotic with intent to distribute, specifically by selling in a manner that could lead to public dissemination, without permission.
The suspect and all seized evidence have been handed over to Patong Police Station for further legal action, reported the Kathu District Office.
