PHUKET: The Phuket Provincial Waterworks Authority (PWA) has announced that the mains water supply will be shut off in the northern half of the island on Thursday (July 4) due to a scheduled electricity outage.

The affected areas, from 9am to 4:30pm, are Sakhu, Mai Khao, Thepkrasattri, Srisoonthorn, Pa Khlok, Cherng Talay, Koh Kaew and Rassada.
People are urged to collect any water they may require beforehand.
It is expected that the water may have some sludge and discolouration once the supply is back to normal.
