The power outage, from 9am to 4:30pm, is to allow workers to safely carry out repairs and maintenance to the high-voltage system in the area, PEA Thalang explained in its announcement.
The areas to be affected were described as from the entrance of Soi Nok Lay to in front of the Carpe Diem Beach Club parking lot in Bang Tao and the intersection with the wastewater treatment pond of Cherng Talay Tambon Administrative Organisation (OrBorTor) to in front of the Arinara Beach Resort Phuket in Soi Bang Tao 12, Cherng Talay.
Areas listed as to be affected by the power outage included: Ms Bunta Kraohalek’s guesthouse,
Mr Chanin Panchalad’s guesthouse the Ai Chuk Waterworks station, Mr Kecha’s vacation home Koh Lek, Ms Areerat Champada’s Apartments, Khayankarnkiat Co Ltd, Chivatara Resort Bangtao Beach Phuket, Mr Pichan Wimuttisuk’s guesthouse, Mr Sin Khahapana’s Bungalows,
Mrs Suda Saengthong’s Apartments, Cherng Talay OrBotTor wastewater treatment pond and pumphouse, Garson Group Co Ltd, Villa Baan Bang Tao (Andaman Fusion Co Ltd), Andaman Bangtao Bay Resort Hotel, 7-Eleven in front of Bang Tao Beach, Bangtao Beach Resort Co Ltd, Bungalow Ari Suriya 39/5, Soi Bang Tao 4, Soi Bang Tao 4/3, Soi Bang Tao 4/4, Soi Bang Tao 12 and Soi Ao Bang Tao 3.
The PEA urged residents and businesses in these regions to make necessary arrangements to minimise any inconvenience during the specified outage period. People are advised to unplug sensitive electronic equipment and take precautions to safeguard appliances.
PEA Thalang apologised for inconvenience caused by the power outage.
