The jellyfish will cause a mild irritation, Patong Surf Life Saving told The Phuket News in a message this morning (Feb 22).
“There will be symptoms of irritation, as if you were stung by an insect. If you do start to feel a burning sensation, go to the nearest lifeguard station, where they will treat the sting with vinegar, for free,” Patong Surf Life Saving added.
More jellyfish are expected to wash ashore at the tourist-popular beach.
“I think so… the weather is too hot now,” Patong Surf Life Saving noted in their reply.
