The primary objective of the fair is to reinvigorate the local economy. The initiative aims to boost the purchasing power within Phuket, ensuring increased incomes for local residents, farmers, manufacturers and independent business operators, Mr Rewat said.
The event also aims to promote tourism to Phuket by showcasing the unique identity of local food and the rich cultural tapestry of Phuket, he added.
The PPAO’s Tourism Division has spent B3 million on putting on the fair, Mr Rewat noted.
