Thalang Police were alerted to the crash at 12:10am and rushed to the scene in Moo 3, Srisoonthorn. Police were told the collision occurred at 11:40pm.

Arriving officers found a heavily damaged grey Toyota Yaris registered in Phuket, and a black Honda Forza motorbike, also registered in Phuket, lying wrecked nearby.

The motorbike rider, 19-year-old Trin Nabnien, had sustained severe injuries and was rushed to Thalang Hospital, but was later pronounced dead.

Photos from the scene, provided by Srisoonthorn Municipality, showed the extensive damage to both vehicles, with debris scattered across the road.

The force of the impact reportedly sent the sedan airborne as it crossed the central divider before colliding with the motorbike head-on.

The driver of the sedan, identified as 32-year-old Patcharida Phimtha, remained at the scene and was later taken into custody. Officers brought her to Thalang Police Station for alcohol testing, which confirmed she was driving under the influence at the time of the crash.

According to police, Patcharida is facing multiple charges, including driving under the influence of alcohol or other intoxicants, reckless driving causing death, driving without regard for the safety of others and causing damage to another person’s property.
