The inspection began at 11:30pm on Tuesday (Sept 16), led by Kathu District Chief Jirawat Namat and Deputy Chief Anurak Poolsak, joined by security personnel from the Kathu District Office unit of the Volunteer Defense Corps (OrSor).
Random urine tests were carried out on 48 employees at seven entertainment venues. Six employees tested positive for drug use. They were sent for treatment after providing consent.
Kathu District Office confirmed that further investigations will be expanded under the ‘One User, One Dealer’ strategy to identify major drug dealers and dismantle key networks.
