To be prepared and reduce damage from the weather situation, the warned provinces should act upon the advice in the letter from the DDPM as quickly as possible.

Prapan Kanprasang, Chief of the Phuket DDPM, told The Phuket News this morning that “the letter informed us that Phuket is one of the warned provinces that must be aware of flash flooding. For the risk of landslide, it depends on rainfall during Oct 20-22. People in areas such as Kamala should at least bring their valued items to a high place to prevent from damage if a bad situation happens.”

The letter can be viewed on the DDPM website (Thai language).
