Sopon Thongsai, Chief of the Phuket Provincial Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Office, confirmed reports of flooding in several areas, all in Thalang District.
Flooding has been reported in four subdistricts, including Thepkrasattri, where water is pooling in several villages.
Local disaster prevention teams have been distributing sandbags to residents and working to drain floodwater, he said.
In Cherng Talay, five areas are affected, and authorities are clearing drainage systems and providing sandbags to prevent further flooding.
Srisoonthorn has reported flooding in two locations, with officials closely monitoring the situation and providing on-the-ground assistance.
Additionally, four areas in Sakhu are dealing with water accumulation, where disaster prevention officers are distributing sandbags and using water pumps to remove water where they can.
However, DDPM Phuket Chief Mr Sopon said the situation remains under control, officials are urging residents and tourists in Phuket to remain cautious and check their travel routes.
The public is advised to plan for possible delays, especially when heading to the airport, with at least one to two extra hours recommended to ensure flights are not missed.
