The concert by the Thai singer, not to be confused with famed international artist Christina Aguilera, was announced at a high-profile press conference yesterday (Jan 9).

Arinara Beach Resort Phuket and The Beach Phuket, both situated at Bang Tao Beach, are to host the charity concert, titled ‘Christina Q Charity Concert on the Beach’, it was announced at the press conference held at the Arinara Beach Resort yesterday.

At the press conference were Thalang Hospital Director Dr Banpot Pankluea along with Lertchai Wangtrakuldee, Chief of the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) Phuket Office; Wekin Tangkulwat, Co-Chief Executive Officer of Rompho Property Public Company Limited; and Sirirat Murphy, representing Arinara Hotel management.

Of note, The Beach Phuket officially opened in October last year with much fanfare by local officials. At the official opening was Phuket Governor Sophon Suwannarat, who at that time had been on the island for only 17 days

Joining the governor and Ms Sirirat for that occasion, touting the grand opening of the “island’s first Balinese-style resort”, were TAT Phuket Deputy Director Montree Manator; Cherng Talay OrBorTor Chief Manoch Panchalad; Phuket Marine Office Chief Natchaphong Pranit, Pol Col Chalermchai Hirsawat, at that time still Cherng Talay Police Chief; Pol Col Chaikiat Viriyasathitkul, Deputy Commander of Phuket Provincial Police; and Luong Truong, an Executive Vice President of Thai Vietjet airline.

Highlighting the hotel’s previous association with Thalang Hospital in providing healthcare for guests, Ms Sirirat yesterday emphasised the importance of ensuring the hospital has modern medical equipment to efficiently care for the residents of Thalang District.

People from Phuket and neighbouring areas are invited to attend the concert. Tickets for the event are priced at B2,900 per person or B20,000 for a group of eight, including food and beverages, Ms Sirirat said.

Proceeds from the concert, less expenses, would be given to Thalang Hospital to help its administrators buy crucial medical equipment, she said.

Thalang Hospital Director Dr Banpot expressed gratitude towards Arinara Hotel and the concert sponsors for their support. He highlighted the hospital’s need for medical equipment, specifically five high-pressure oxygen machines to aid in treating patients with respiratory diseases, including adults and children.

TAT Phuket Director Mr Lertchai mentioned that the concert not only serves as a charitable endeavour for Thalang Hospital but also aims to promote tourism in Phuket and nearby areas.

The event is expected to draw those who appreciate Christina Aguilar’s performance to the picturesque Bang Tao Beach area, he said.

Mr Wekin of Rompho Property shared that the company, deeply rooted in Phuket’s real estate business, has a history of engaging in social activities within the areas of its investments. The concert arrangement aligns with Rompho Company’s commitment to contributing positively to the communities they serve, he noted.
