The operation followed a tip-off received on Sept 10, reported Chalong Police.
Investigators learned that a drug network was using a condominium in Rawai to store methamphetamine for distribution to local dealers and users. Officers went undercover, monitoring the location and gathering evidence.
On Sept 11, investigators encountered three suspects linked to the operation. After conducting a search of their rooms, police discovered a total of 1,847 ya bah pills hidden inside. The suspects were immediately taken into custody, along with the seized evidence.
All three are now facing drug-related charges as police continue their investigation to identify and arrest further members of the network.
Chalong Police have urged members of the public to come forward with information on drug activity in the area, stressing that community cooperation is vital in maintaining peace and order.
While the arrests took place last week, no reason was given for not announcing the results of the raid until yesterday (Sept 17).
