Bus backs over Chinese boy, 6, at Chonburi temple

CHONBURI: A 6-year-old Chinese boy was killed while chasing a cat as he ran behind a tour coach as it was backing up in the parking area of a temple in Bang Lamung district today (July 18).

The tragic incident occurred at Wat Prachum Kongka in Ban Rong Poh of tambon Bang Lamung.

The boy, Cheng Bojia, was with his family, who were visiting the temple to make-merit.

Police quoted witnesses as saying the boy was chasing after a cat when driver Anont Khamdeewan, 37, backed the bus without seeing the youngster.

Police found blood on the left rear wheels. The driver was detained for prosecution.
