Phuket resident Kittipong Boonchuay was apprehended at a rented house on Rat-U-Thit 200 Pi Rd in Patong at about 6:30pm yesterday (Aug 26), Patong Police reported.
Police said that Kittipong was behind multiple thefts in Patong, with officers seizing assets valued at about B300,000.
Police presented CCTV images of Kittipong leaving Patong, and later took Kittipong to his rented unit on Phoonphol Rd in Talat Nuea, Phuket Town, where they searched his room.
Items confiscated as evidence included a blue-black Honda Click motorbike, a white full-face helmet, black jacket, striped shirts, black jeans, Nike sneakers, and cash totalling B6,110 in various denominations.
Investigators said the clothing matched what the suspect wore during the burglaries, as captured on CCTV.
Mr Kittipong was charged with theft at night, using a vehicle to facilitate escape, and receiving stolen property. He was taken to Patong Police Station for further legal proceedings.
Police added that CCTV evidence and other witness statements are being compiled to prepare the case for prosecution and to determine whether further suspects were involved.
