Special donation sessions will take place next Friday (Dec 5) in recognition of King Bhumibol Adulyadej’s birthday, which is also observed nationwide as Thailand National Day and Father’s Day.
However, events will be subdued as the nation continues to pay respect following the passing of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, The Queen Mother, on Oct 24.
The PRBC highlighted the ongoing critical shortage of Rh-negative blood, with demand rising due to tourist-related accidents and medical emergencies in the region.
Eligible donors are urged to give blood whenever possible.
