The incident occurred around 2:30am yesterday (Nov 20), near Benz Massage on Soi Bangla.
According to the report filed with police, Phisansak Waiyanon was approached by two Arab men who sat near the shop and initiated a conversation.
One of the men, dressed in a black shirt and white pants, asked Phisansak if he were a ladyboy. After Phisansak confirmed, the man reportedly became displeased and began filming him, leading to an argument.
The situation escalated when the second man, wearing a white shirt and black shorts, intervened.
A physical altercation broke out between Phisansak and the man in the black shirt, during which plastic chairs were used as weapons. Phisansak sustained a head injury during the fight and sought refuge inside the massage shop.
The two men allegedly continued their aggression by throwing a bottle at the shop’s front door, causing property damage, before leaving the scene.
Phisansak reported the incident to Patong Police, where Deputy Chief of Investigation Pol Lt Col Chomphonuch Anantayakun documented the complaint.
Officers escorted Phisansak to Patong Hospital for medical treatment and are now investigating the assault.
Police said they were working to identify the suspects and will review CCTV footage in the area as part of the ongoing investigation, with the intent of pressing charges.
The incident follows a slew of posts on local social media channels calling for ladyboys to identify with potential clients that they are trans in order to avoid any confusion or any aggression resulting from potential clients feeling deceived.
